Overall this is an interesting tool for your AV arsenal. It helps you create smooth animation and time-lapse movies for a reasonable price.

A nice french review of the french version of iStopMotion 1.9 by Ange Heureux for MacGeneration.com. Rating: Bon (4/5). A reader of MacGeneration.com also posted two movies in their forums: "Les poupées Gruss" and "Le bras droit de la loi". Quite nice.

Famous german comics artist Karl A. Bihlmeier reviews iStopMotion for german technology news site "Industrial Technology & Witchcraft" (in German):

You can't get more creative fun at $40.

Check out the time lapse that shows the artist creating the best April 1st cartoon I've seen this year and the nice stop motion animation "Tinkerbell & Robocop".

Macworld November 2004 edition has a short review of iStopMotion and awards it 4 1/2 mice:

iStopMotion takes you beyond the ordinary with its two modes: Stop Motion, where you animate objects incrementally and capture a single frame at a time; and Time Lapse, where a frame is shot at an interval (such as every minute), resulting in sped-up footage of things like clouds rolling by or flowers blooming. [...] The only drawback I encountered was choppy playback when previewing the movie.

This has been fixed in Version 1.5.
