Katrin Rothe answers this question in 9 cutout animations she cut together into a 4 minute movie, available in iPod format from her website. The animation has been received enthusiastically when opening for a short film festival at the Central in Berlin.
The Deadly Deaths: See The World

Nick Feisst from The Deadly Deaths, "restrained indie synth pop" band from Hamilton NZ, used iStopMotion to create the music video for the groups first single "See The World". There are nice pictures of the set and characters on his blog.
I'm using iStopMotion along with an iSight camera to do my movement tracking in the music video, and then using a digital SLR to take full resolution images.
Michael Capell: NBA Animation Project

Michael Capell and his team did an animation project for the NBA, animating the mascots of various teams in a wrestling match. Nice photos and a lot of background info from the production set as well as a couple of the animations can be found on his website.
