Jeff Carlson writes for TidBITS. "My family's holiday "card" this year was a DVD containing video, music, and still photos from the previous year. I had raised the geek bar. [...] I used Boinx Software's iStopMotion to create a movie of me working at the computer while books and lots of coffee cups magically appear around me."

Steffen Tröger: "iStopMotion 1.8 is ingenious"

-

Steffen Tröger of Go!Le Go! tested iStopMotion 1.8: "iStopMotion is ingenious! Very easy to use and clever invented. I really like the audio-support. Timing gags and the smoothness onto animation is therewith a walk in the park. The iStopMotion HR version renders my movies in a brilliance and size I´m nearly not able to watch on my old monitor. I guess it´s time to buy a bigger one! Go on Boinx and thank you again for bringing me so fast into my new hobby with such professional results!" Bricks in Love and the piece for SWR1 were done with iStopMotion 1.8.

Jed Gibbs sends us the pointer to "Lego Pirate Animations" created by students who attended the City College of Southampton media stand during 'Bright Futures 2005' at Southampton Guildhall: "None of these films will win any prizes but there was a lot of interest shown by pupils and teachers from several schools. Each of these films was made in under 15 minutes by teams of up to 5 students aged 14 - 16. More than 300 students saw these being made over 2 days. Most asked question? "Can we do this using windows movie maker?" I said I doubt it."
