Frank Petrie writes s great review for Macsimum Perspective: "Boinx makes some very cool products. And you can use them in so many ways. For instance, I secretly aimed my iSight at my daughter lying on the couch watching TV. I then later showed her a high-speed version of what she had accomplished over the last four hours. She was so amused—NOT!" iStopMotion is worth a ten out of ten rating for him. Thanks, Frank!

In time for its second anniversary, iStopMotion turns 1.5 and gains grown-up features. Today, Boinx Software released the new version of our flagship product. It adds features that have long been awaited by iStopMotion users and prospective customers: High resolution output and still camera support. In addition to the usual bug fixes, noise reduction is the outstanding feature that is going to be loved by everyone: When used with a video source, iStopMotion now takes multiple frames at once, averaging them to remove what is known as "color speckles", an effect common to video CCDs. The quality of the images improves dramatically which is especially interesting for devices such as the Apple iSight. Read all about it on the iStopMotion website and in the press release.
