I closed the settings window. How do I get it back?
Click and hold the Mouseposé icon in the dock if the icon is diplayed here. You will find the "Open Settings Window..." command there. If Mouseposé is only displayed in the menubar on top of the screen, just click that icon and select "Open Settings Window..." here.
Mouseposé does not work during Keynote presentations. What is wrong?
Nothing is wrong. When Keynote starts the presentation it puts up a "protected screen". This is a feature of Mac OS X that prohibits any other application to draw on the screen, as long as Keynote has control. If you want to change this behaviour, open Keynote's preferences, navigate to the tab "Slideshow" and check the option "Allow Exposé, Dashboard and others to use screen." You will then be able to use Mouseposé during your Keynote presentation.
Note: This feature only works with Keynote 3 and later.
Note: Microsoft PowerPoint does not seem to set up a protected screen, so Mouseposé will work during PowerPoint presentations.
As soon as I activate the Mouseposé effect, the scren turns black. Why?
To avoid this, please go to Mouseposé's settings and make sure that the radius is above 10. Furthermore ensure that your screen is set to millions of colors instead of thousands (you find this in the "Displays" section of the System preferences).
By pressing F1, F2, etc. I can only adjust the display settings but cannot activate Mouseposé. What can I do?
On MacBooks, MacBook Pros and with the newer aluminum keyboards the function-buttons (F1-F12) can only be used in combination with the "fn" button by default. But of course you can change this setting: Go to "System Preferences" and click on "Keyboard and Mouse". There click on "Keyboard" and check "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys". Then you can use F1 without pressing the "fn" key to activate the Mouseposé effect.
I have a license for Mouseposé 1 - can I update to Mouseposé 3 free of charge?
Mouseposé 1 was free, the license key was emailed to you after filling out a short form at our Web site. So if you want to update to Mouseposé 3 you will need to purchase a full license key.
For some reason I lost Mouseposé, purchased from the Mac App Store. Is there a way to get it back?
If you accidentally deleted Mouseposé or have to re-install your Mac, please follow these steps to install an application already purchased in the Mac App Store again:
Open the Mac Appstore. If you are not signed in already, click "Store" in the menubar and then select "Sign in". After signing in, select the "Purchased" tab. Here you will find all the applications you bought using this account. Find the Boinx app in question and click the "Install" button next to it. The Mac Appstore will re-download it and install it for you free of charge. Make sure you remove demo versions you might have downloaded manually before from your applications folder, just to avoid confusing duplicates.
I downloaded Mouseposé from the Mac App Store but haven't received a license - Why?
You don't have to register a license. After purchase the Mac App Store downloads the application automatically to your Mac and won't ask for a license.
If you are still prompted for a license despite purchase from the Mac App Store it is likely that you still have a trial version from our website installed. In this case please remove it.
