About Boinx Software
Boinx Software was founded in 1996 by brothers Achim and Oliver Breidenbach. They chose "Boinx" because they wanted a name that was artificial, young, hip, fun, pronounced the same in German and English and could also be a sound.
We make fun, easy to use and powerful applications for creative people.
Our main offices are situated in Puchheim, Germany, in sight of the Alps close to Munich – world-famous for the Octoberfest.
Oliver Breidenbach
Oliver is co-founder and CEO. He is in love with Apple products since he played on the first Apple computer in Europe back in 1976. "Boinx Software reflects my passion for creative tools that make the most of the technology and are easy and fun to use at the same time." he says. Apart from his duties as CEO, Oliver oversees our marketing.
Achim Breidenbach
Achim co-founded Boinx Software with his brother and is responsible for our customer support. He spends most of his time tinkering with our backend database, automating the business and contributing to our products. In his spare time he builds all sorts of things. Achim lives and works in Leoben, Austria.
Florian Albrecht
As Engineering and Product Marketing Manager, Florian is responsible for creating our products. His passion for User Interface design and love for detail have played an essential part in winning three Apple Design Awards.
Gert Andreas
Gert lives in Berlin and could be our liaison to the German Government if he wasn't too busy writing code for our Mac and iOS products and playing guitar for postrock band Condre Scr.
Peter Baumgartner
Peter is the creator of Apple Design Award winner FotoMagico and its principal developer. A passion for mountaineering and photography provide him with steady inspiration for FotoMagico.
Michael Ehrmann
Despite his young age, Michael is our most senior employee. Working with Apple frameworks since last millenium, he is an expert on all aspects of developing for the Mac and iPhone which he contributes to all our products and his own side projects.
Stefan Fochler
Stefan is a student at the nearby "Gymnasium" where studies and pretty girls keep him from spending much more time working on the JavaScripts of boinx.com and other projects.
Stephan Gschwendtner
When Stephan does not supports Peter in developing FotoMagico, he develops interactive installations for trade shows and museums, creates web sites with RubyOnRails and produces electronic music for art projects.
Peter Kraml
The Austrian wiz-kid is spending his spare time and holidays working on secret projects for Boinx, being a co-host on touchtalk.at podcast, creating 3D animations and developing his own iPhone apps.
Stefan Neumärker
Stefan moved to Munich from Berlin to learn how to develop for the Mac and taste the good bavarian food. Currently, he manages our Kagi Store and works on Mouseposé and PhotoPresenter.
Vera Ruttkowski
Vera manages our sales process, taking care of resellers, education customers and everyone's special requests. She also operates our back office, keeping all our business processes running smoothly.
Peter Schlossnikel
Peter is the principal of Petriografie. He provides us with killer graphics design for everything from our websites to our products.
Christiane Schmitz (Koop)
Christiane keeps our books, makes sure that we pay our bills on time and handles the bureaucracy required by the state of Germany and the EU.
Sarah Schwaiger (Bäuml)
As Business Development Manager for our Video products, Sarah looks after existing partnerships and looks for new ones with key accounts and multiplicators. She also drives our social media efforts.
Bastian Wölfle
Bastian is a happy guy, doing all sorts of video related work, from producing screencasts to BoinxTV consulting. He is also co-hosting the top tech podcasts DigitalUpgrade and BitnappingTV.
Janice Dolan
Janice is the Boinx Account Director at Zazil Media Group, the PR and marketing consultancy practice she founded in 2001. She brings a lot of experience, energy and enthusiasm to the task of shaping our PR strategy.
